Job Descriptions

ELECTRIC MOTOR TECHNICIAN

A minimum of 3 years’ experience troubleshooting Single Phase and Three phase electric motors.  Must have tools to disassemble, test, and repair all types of electric motors and related equipment. Required to understand all electric test meters, such as amp meter, volt meter, surge tester, and other measurement devices to calculate bearing fits and seal fits.

ELECTRIC SERVICE TECHNICIAN

Must have a minimum of 4 years’ Experience with troubleshooting electric motors, pumps, generators and industrial controls in manufacturing plants, water/wastewater utilities, schools, and commercial buildings. Must be able to diagnose problems and remove, repair, or replace faulty equipment. Technician has to be able to read Control schematics and have understanding of electrical safety requirements.  Also required to have good customer communication skills.

INSIDE SALES/COUNTER SALES

Must have experience selling HVAC motors, single phase motors, three phase industrial motors, pool pumps, irrigation pumps, submersible pumps, industrial controls and the accessories that go with motors and controls. The sales person needs to have superior customer skills and be very organized.

ELECTRIC MOTOR WINDER

Rewind Technician will rewind AC & DC electric motors and generators, ranging from small 230/460 volt motors up to 2000hp medium voltage motors.  Duties include stripping, taking data, insulating, making coils, and general winding processes.  4 years’ experience minimum.

PUMP TECHNICIAN

A minimum of 4 years’ experience required in troubleshooting, disassembling, repairing, and reassembling Irrigation pumps, centrifugal pumps, submersible pumps, close-coupled pumps and multi-stage turbine pumps. Technician must be equipped with his own tools to accomplish the majority of the tasks and understand all electrical and mechanical requirements to repair the pump.

VFD and CONTROL TECHNICIAN

The Control Technician will be required to troubleshoot service, install, configure, and program a variety of electrical devices; VFDs, PLCs, encoders, linear components, servos, control panels, and similar controls. Test or modify developmental or operational electrical machinery or electrical control equipment and circuitry in industrial or commercial plants or utilities.  Must also be able to communicate and present themselves in a professional manner to the customer.

OUTSIDE SALESMAN OR WOMAN

Experience in growing sales of electric motors, industrial controls, pumps, and the sale of repair/ service of like products. Must be familiar with calling on Manufacturing plants, Utilities, Water/Wastewater plants, Schools, Commercial accounts, and OEMs. PLC, and VFD knowledge a plus.

WORKING SHOP FOREMAN

Experience in all areas of electric motor, pump, generator, welder, repairs as such is found in a typical EASA repair facility. Must have good management and coordinating skills to advise and assist technicians in completing the jobs in a timely and accurate manner that will satisfy the customer and be profitable.  The Foreman is responsible for scheduling shop work and field service and insuring that the customer’s needs are met.  Safety procedures, TDI procedures, and the knowledge test equipment are required.

MACHINIST

Mader Electric, Inc. is hiring machinists. At Mader, you have the opportunity to work in an air conditioned shop with highly trained technical professionals in motor and control systems operations.All qualified machinist applicants must be very familiar with working in a motor and pump repair shop. At least 7 years of experience with manual lathes, mills, and boring mills is required. Compensation will be based on level of experience.   • Using a Lathe Expertise

SHOP MANAGER
